new search

This alliance includes vegetation dominated by Isoëtes echinospora or I. lacustris, which occurs in oligotrophic non-calcareous lakes of boreal-arctic regions of Europe and North America and of humid areas of central and eastern Europe. In the Czech Republic this vegetation occurs in two lakes in the Šumava Mountains.
