The Seselio-Festucetum pallentis comprises open grasslands of Festuca pallens and other drought-adapted thermophilous species on outcrops of limestone or base-rich siliceous rocks. It is found on the volcanic hills of northern Bohemia and the valleys of the Berounka and Vltava rivers in central Bohemia.
