The alliance Sphagno-Utricularion includes species-poor vegetation of shallow bog pools, dominated by the bladderworts Utricularia intermedia. U. minor. U. ochroleuca, and at a single site in the Czech Republic by U. bremii. Bladderworts are accompanied by mosses of the family Amblystegiaceae and Sphagnum spp. This vegetation requires permanent flooding. It is common in north-western and northern Europe, but rare in the Czech Republic.
