This rare association includes dense polydominant herbaceous vegetation occurring around springs on the upper slopes of the glacial cirques of the Hrubý Jeseník Mountains. It is a natural subalpine grassland developing in places of great snow accumulation, which might have been occasionally mown or grazed by domestic animals in the past.
