This association includes submontane and montane heathlands dominated by Vaccinium myrtillus. At most sites the heathlands replace acidophilous forests as secondary vegetation. In some places they may represent the natural vegetation in canopy openings on rock outcrops. This association is distributed in all mountain ranges of the Czech Republic.
