This association is dominated by less nutrient-demanding, medium-tall grasses, combined with Meum athamanticum and other species of suboceanic distribution. It occurs on acidic and nutrient-poor soils in the montane belt of the Krušné hory Mountains. Some sites were also recorded in the Jizerské hory and western Krkonoše Mountains.
