This association includes meadows of nutrient-poor, intermittently wet soils which regularly contain calcium carbonate. They are usually dominated by Molinia arundinacea or M. caerulea, but these species may be absent from some stands. It is distributed from lowlands to submontane areas in different parts of the Czech Republic, most commonly in southern and central Bohemia.
