This community with Chenopodium murale occurs in villages and cities of warm lowland areas. Typical habitats include sunny sites along the bases of walls, on building rubble, sites near refuse dumps or compost heaps in villages and farms, and bases of tree trunks in city alleys. Soils are rich in nutrients. The vegetation develops in mid-summer. In the Czech Republic Chenopodium murale is a very rare, critically endangered species, and the same is true of this association.
