new search

This association includes patchy stands of the shrubby willow Salix lapponum – a glacial relict of arctic origin in the Krkonoše and Hrubý Jeseník Mountains. It occurs in wet places around springs, in depressions with heavy snow accumulation, and on the margins of mires in the subalpine belt.
