This thermophilous scrub community is dominated by Cornus mas or Prunus mahaleb, which are accompanied by other species such as Euonymus verrucosus, Viburnum lantana and short individuals of oaks. The herb layer contains several species typical of thermophilous oak forests. This community occurs on calcareous bedrock types in dry areas of central Bohemia and southern Moravia, often in contact with dry grasslands and thermophilous oak forests.
