This association includes stands of tall forbs, in particular Senecio ovatus. Grasses, such as Calamagrostis epigejos, and the shrub Rubus idaeus are frequently present as well. This vegetation occurs on disturbed sites in logged oak-hornbeam, eutrophic fir-beech and ravine forests, and particularly in logged spruce plantations in the corresponding habitats. It is less frequent on the sites of former acidophilous beech or oak forests. This vegetation type is common across the Czech Republic, especially at the middle altitudes.
