This community is dominated by the low-growing prostrate herb Malva neglecta and is mainly found in villages and agricultural farms, especially in places disturbed by domestic fowl, but it also occurs at the edges of some towns. Soils are rich in nutrients. This vegetation type usually occurs in sunny places, but also tolerates slightly shaded habitats. Its phenological optimum is in summer. In the Czech Republic it is distributed in lowland areas.
